Intervention
Nouveau Regard Gaspésie provides parents, friends and family members of individuals with mental health disorders a safe space to share their experiences, concerns and feelings. This can be done in small groups or individually, and meetings can take place in person, over the phone or via videoconferencing.
Information workshops
We offer various information workshops for loved ones of people with mental health disorders covering topics such as letting go, self-care, outdoors activities benefits, learning to set your limits, etc. Workshops can also focus on specific mental health disorders such as schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, etc.
We can also create information workshops for the general population interested in learning more about mental health topics. In addition, we can custom workshops when requested.
Awareness activities
Nouveau Regard Gaspésie organizes activities to raise public awareness about mental health issues and associated prejudices. These activities allow to differentiate mental health from mental health problems.
Focused on positive mental health, Nouveau Regard Gaspésie emphasizes the mental and emotional well-being of its members and their loved ones. The organization seeks to promote an approach that goes beyond managing mental disorders, highlighting resilience, personal growth and positive reinforcement.
We also offer activities in schools and community organizations to demystify mental health disorders and dispel prejudices.
Support groups
Nouveau Regard Gaspésie's support groups bring together loved ones of people with mental health disorders facing similar issues in order to exchange about their daily lives. During meetings, participants have the opportunity to share their experiences as caregivers.
Different groups, with different themes, established throughout the year. It is possible to participate in person or via video conferencing on Teams. To express your interest in participating, please contact us by phone, email or through our social media private messaging.

We are actively committed to improve access to mental health care, protect the rights of people living with mental health disorders, and promote public policies that support mental health.
We provide information on local resources, mental health professionals, crisis services and other practical resources for families and friends.
To achieve this, Nouveau Regard Gaspésie offers activities and services that promote a positive mindset and proactive management of mental health. This may include workshops on stress management, self-esteem promotion, as well as outdoor and artistic activities leading to emotional well-being.

Youth services
Our youth services support those who support a loved one, partner or parent living with a mental health issue. We offer a support space to help them manage their emotions and develop strategies to deal with these challenges.
